Bogota’s Half Marathon 2010

11 years ago Bogota held her first half marathon, one of the most important sporting events in the city in years. The Colombian Roadrunners Association (Asociación Correcaminos de Colombia) successfully organized the event which is now highlighted among the most important in the Americas. The Colombian Roadrunners Association have been nationally recognized as the key foundation to further increase the recreational and competitive athletics in Colombia.

Downtown Bogota, A New Face

Getting to downtown Bogota took a long time. I had to take a bus line traversing 7th Avenue, and it took hours and hours in an unbearable traffic jam. Also, downtown Bogota had lots of security problems, but not anymore with its new public park and safe streets thanks to the efforts of many.
