It was 7:00 am last Sunday in Bogota. The phone rang. In an hour my friends were going to take my wife and I paragliding, I tried to hold in my fear for my wife's sake of course! After a quick breakfast we left, I took a jacket with me because everybody said the place was at a higher altitude than Bogota so it was probably going to be colder.

Downtown Bogota, A New Face

Getting to downtown Bogota took a long time. I had to take a bus line traversing 7th Avenue, and it took hours and hours in an unbearable traffic jam. Also, downtown Bogota had lots of security problems, but not anymore with its new public park and safe streets thanks to the efforts of many.
